Perry Chalk Art Festival

Perry Chalk Art Festival 2025

Come to Perry, NY July 12th for a Saturday of fine art, fantastic food and fabulous summer fun at the eighteenth annual Perry Chalk Art Festival!

Stroll downtown Perry and see professional artists shape gigantic pastel artworks on the theme “Look Forward/Look Back”. Cheer on youth artists competing for prizes and encourage artists of all ages to try their hand at the chalking wall. And see artist Erika Lalita creating a super-sized chalk work under the Festival Plaza pavilion.

This year's featured artist, Julia Williamson, is a Buffalo-based multimedia artist and graphic designer. Her work is inspired by graffiti/street art as well as by comic books and animated movies

At a young age Julia tried working charcoal and soft pastels, and as an adult she found the transition to large scale chalk pieces was a natural progression. She enjoys the creative process from initial sketch to completed piece and finds getting her hands dirty making her works is oddly therapeutic. Every year she looks forward to exploring the possibilities of the medium and trying new things.

Over the past decade Julia has participated in street art competitions across Western New York such as Sweet Chalk Lockport, Chalkfest Buffalo, and the Lewiston Art Festival.. She is THRILLED to be the featured artist for the 2025 Perry Chalk Art Festival!
