Have we got some photos for you! PMSA is pleased to announce the winners of the “Picture Perry” Photo Competition, organized to build a resource base of images that capture the Perry, New York, experience to help us promote our village and the community. The competition was limited to non-professional photographers; judges were not provided with the names of the photographers.
More than 75 pictures were submitted across the categories of People, Places and Culture. Winners will receive GIVE PERRY gift certificates.

BEST OF SHOW Ann Burlingham ($50 certificate), for "Perry Library," which plays a role in “connecting people to each other and the world, near and far.”
PEOPLE CATEGORY Bethany Zerbe ($25 certificate), for “Michael Dischavana Prunes the Village’s New Cherry Trees,” which line Perry’s Cherry Street. This picture highlights the way that people pitch in and volunteer in Perry.
PLACE CATEGORY Howard Ellis ($25 certificate), for “Chalk Art at its Finest,” the yearly July festival that brings over 50 chalk artists to the site of Perry's Farmer's Market to create fine, temporary works of art.
CULTURE CATEGORY: Devon Kelly ($25 certificate) for “Shake on the Lake,” the Perry-based professional theater company that stages outdoor summer Shakespeare performances on the shores of Silver Lake, at the Perry Public Beach.
PMSA would like to thank all entrants who submitted a beautiful and comprehensive snapshot of Perry. Our heartfelt appreciation to all judges as well for their enthusiasm and great efforts reviewing the entries received; Izabella West, Eleanor Jacobs, and Nina Piccini went above and beyond with their comments and feedback!
