Letchworth State Park

Letchworth State Park, renowned as the "Grand Canyon of the East," and voted #1 State Park in the United States in 2015, is one of the most scenically magnificent areas in the eastern U.S. The Genesee River roars through the gorge over three major waterfalls between cliffs--as high as 600 feet in some places--surrounded by lush forests.

Easy Access via Perry Entrance

Perry is the perfect gateway to Letchworth.

The Perry entrance to the Park - just three miles from downtown - puts you in the center of Letchworth Park, directly across from the campground entrance. A few miles south to the overlooks, trailside lodge and Glen Iris Inn; a few miles north to the Mt Morris Dam and Highbanks recreation area (where the Letchworth Arts & Crafts Show and Sale is held anually on Columbus Day Weekend). From mid-June through September, a Saturday trip combining a morning at Perry Farmers' Market with an afternoon at Letchworth Park is a popular combination.

Letchworth offers nature, history and performing arts programs, guided walks and tours, a summer lecture series, whitewater rafting, kayaking, hot air ballooning and a pool for swimming. Winter activities include snow tubing, cross-country skiing, snowmobiling and horse-drawn sleigh rides.

For professional and organizational retreats, educational and training needs can be met at the Conference Center.

Located in a secluded area at the southwest portion of Letchworth State Park, the facility consists of a spacious country lodge room, bedrooms, bathrooms with showers and a kitchen.
