Arts & Entertainment
Perry's lively scene will entice you to Take Part in Art! Anchor events such as Last Night Perry on New Year's Eve, the Sea Serpent Balloon Festival and the Summer Saturdays Arts Series at Perry Farmers' Market draw diverse types of performers from throughout New York State to our stages, venues, and streets.
The summer Chalk Art Festival is a celebration where trained artists and aspiring chalkers of all ages can participate in a festive downtown atmosphere. Two of summer's greatest spectacles are the vibrantly colored hot air balloons rising at dawn and dusk during Perry's Sea Serpent Balloon Festival and the costumed re-enactors carrying on the 150 year-old tradition of the Pioneer Picnic.
Perry's five antique stores, four arts galleries, twin drive-in theaters and lively bookstore provide ample opportunities for cultural outings. Meanwhile, the County's Arts Council on Main Street provides a year-round venue filled with Classic Film Series and special performances. It is also the organization behind the regionally-acclaimed Letchworth Arts & Crafts Show & Sale.
Families love the American Legion Soap Box Derby, annual Fishing Tournament, Kids Fest, Tour de Perry Bicycle Rally, Sea Serpent Softball Tournament, Perry's Clean Sweep; and a raft of holiday events that includes a Holiday House tour, window contest, and tree lighting.
